WHAT TO KNOW
BEFORE YOU BOOK.

This guide covers parcels sent from the Isle of Man to the Republic of Ireland. Your destination and parcel details determine whether Economy, Tracked or Express is available, and Twyft collects the information needed to prepare your International shipment during booking.

Republic of Ireland

This page covers delivery to the Republic of Ireland. For addresses in Northern Ireland, use Twyft’s UK delivery service.

Service depends on your parcel

Economy, Tracked and Express have different eligibility limits. Enter the actual destination, weight, dimensions and declared value to see the services available.

Customs information is required

Goods sent from the Isle of Man to the Republic of Ireland enter the EU customs process. Provide accurate contents, value and recipient information during booking so the shipment can be prepared correctly.

Destination charges may apply

Duties, VAT or other import charges can depend on the goods, value and circumstances of the shipment. See our Customs & Duties guide for current guidance.

Have the Eircode if you can

Include the recipient’s full Irish postal address and Eircode where available. An Eircode helps identify the exact property, particularly where addresses are similar, but it should be supplied alongside the complete address rather than instead of it.

Ireland Customs & Duties

WHAT MAY APPLY
AT DESTINATION.

Parcels sent from the Isle of Man to the Republic of Ireland enter the EU import process. The charges and customs treatment depend on what is being sent, its value and how the shipment is arranged.

EU import process

Goods sent from the Isle of Man to the Republic of Ireland enter the EU import process. A customs declaration is required for goods entering Ireland from outside the EU.

Temporary €3 customs-duty treatment

From 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2028, qualifying distance-sale consignments with an intrinsic value of €150 or less are subject to temporary €3 customs-duty treatment per tariff-classified item. Tariff classification governs the €3 count, so the count is not necessarily the number of physical units.

Irish VAT

Imported goods generally take the applicable domestic Irish VAT rate. Ireland's standard VAT rate is currently 23%. Reduced or zero rates can apply to some goods, depending on their classification.

Who pays

Responsibility for duty, VAT and clearance charges depends on the shipment and customs arrangement. Sender-paid or DDP arrangements may be possible for some shipments, but are not available universally.

Current rules checked: August 2026. Rules and shipment treatment can change, so check the current guidance before booking.
