Sending to Europe
Europe is not a single customs or delivery market. The destination country and your parcel details determine the services available, the information required and the import rules that may apply.
Enter the actual destination country and complete recipient address. Availability and import requirements can differ between European countries.
The European Union has 27 member countries, but Europe also includes destinations outside the EU. EU customs rules should not be assumed to apply to every European shipment.
Economy, Tracked and Express have different eligibility limits. Destination, weight, dimensions and declared value determine what can be booked.
Where the shipment crosses a customs border, provide accurate contents, quantity, value, origin and reason for sending.
EU countries operate within a common customs framework for goods entering the EU customs territory. Other European destinations have their own import arrangements, so Twyft uses the destination and shipment details to determine what information is required.

Customs authorities and delivery networks rely on the information supplied, so descriptions, values and origin information must accurately reflect the parcel’s contents.
Europe Customs & Import Charges
Customs treatment across Europe depends on the destination. EU destinations share the EU customs framework for goods entering the customs territory, while non-EU European destinations operate under their own arrangements.
Goods entering the EU customs territory are processed under EU customs rules. The information and charges that apply depend on the goods, value, origin and circumstances of the shipment.
A European country does not need to be an EU member. Destinations outside the EU can have different customs, tax and clearance requirements.
From 1 July 2026, the EU introduced a temporary €3 customs-duty mechanism for qualifying low-value consignments up to €150. The precise treatment depends on the shipment and current EU rules.
Responsibility for duties, taxes, fees and clearance charges depends on the shipment and customs arrangement. Sender-paid arrangements may be possible for suitable services but are not universal.
Current rules checked: August 2026. Rules and shipment treatment can change, so check the current guidance before booking.

Northern Ireland · Windsor Framework
Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, but parcel movements from the Isle of Man can be subject to specific Windsor Framework arrangements. What is required depends on who is sending the parcel, who is receiving it and what the parcel contains.
Parcels sent between private individuals for personal use can use simplified arrangements where the relevant conditions are met, without an individual customs declaration or customs duty.
Eligible parcels sent to a private individual can move under the UK Carrier Scheme through an authorised carrier without an individual customs declaration or customs duty. The carrier still needs accurate information about the sender, recipient and goods.
Business-to-business parcels follow different rules. UK Internal Market Scheme arrangements can simplify eligible movements where the goods will remain within the UK, while other movements may require a full customs declaration.
Food, plant, animal, excise, restricted and controlled goods can have additional requirements even where the parcel otherwise qualifies for simplified treatment.
The Windsor Framework customs procedures for parcels and internal-market movements expressly include goods dispatched from the Isle of Man. The exact process still depends on the shipment and the carrier used.
